Presto - Partnership for Refugee Employment through Support, Training and Online Learning

Partnership for Refugee Employment through Support, Training and Online Learning (PRESTO)

The PRESTO Development Partnership (DP) consisted of specialist agencies in the field of refugee integration and was active until 31 December 2007 through funding from EQUAL.

Its objectives were to test innovative training and employment packages to support refugee professionals, in particular providing support for refugees in the health, education and construction sectors.

Employability Forum's role in the partnership was to build strategies for refugee professionals and ensure that the work of the DP was systematically linked to the aims of the DWP refugee employment strategy, Working to Rebuild Lives (pdf) and to regional policy development in London.

PRESTO has created a legacy website as a resource for other partnerships working to promote refugee employment and integration. It contains our success stories, models and good practice we believe can be transferred to other partnerships, policy briefings on employment issues and the lessons learned from working together over 3 years.
