SURVEY: Mapping emerging gaps in refugee provision
-
In late 2011 we ran a survey to identify the impact of policy changes and cuts and what the emerging gaps in services are for refugees and asylum seekers. Early findings show that 70% of respondents have had to reduce their staffing, despite an increased demand for their services. Key services being cut are those advising on benefits, housing and employment.
This research will help inform the work of the national Refugee Integration Working Group, co-chaired by UKBA and Employability Forum.
The survey report will be published in early 2012. If you have any questions please contact Tom Shakhli on 020 7697 4112.
