Refugee Employment in Manchester

The final regional event for 2005, this conference brought together key partners to explore what needs to happen in Manchester to forge better links with Jobcentre Plus and the voluntary sector in order to implement refugee employment strategies in the region.

Refugee Employment in London

A second regional event to discuss the implementation of Government and Jobcentre Plus strategies at a local level. This event examined the situation in London, and how relevant refugee and employment agencies can work together to encourage higher labour market participation amongst refugees.

This was a regional event to discuss refugee employment in Wales. It built on recent DWP and Jobcentre Plus reports which stressed the importance of providing practical help to refugee jobseekers. The event was organised with the help of the Welsh Refugee Council, the Welsh Local Authorities Consortium for Refugees and Asylum Seekers and local Refugee Communities.

Managing Migration – the Australian Model
