Beryl was appointed Director in 2008 and has been a member of the Employability Forum team since 2001. She joined from Reed Executive, where she gained experience in accountancy recruitment and welfare to work programmes. Beryl is a Trustee of Student Action for Refugees (STAR) and has founded a peer support group for leaders in the voluntary sector.

Tom joined Employability Forum in August 2011, having had a strong interest in migration and refugee issues in his previous work and studies. Previously, he worked as a language teacher in Spain and Germany, before working in Brussels for an MEP and later as a social affairs specialist at a consultancy. He has an MA in European Politics.

Mauro initially joined Employability Forum in March 2011 as one of our interns. He graduated in Politics in Rome and then completed a Masters in Politics and Government in the EU at the London School of Economics. There, Mauro focused on social policy, asylum and migration.

Špela graduated from University College Utrecht in 2009 and has recently completed an MA in Anthropology and Cultural Politics at Goldsmiths. Following her academic research on migration and identity, she developed a keen interest in refugee integration issues. She is looking to gain experience in the non-profit sector with a view to returning to study.

Miklos completed an MA in European Politics in Bath and Berlin. Following his academic research on multiculturalism and integration, he developed a keen interest in asylum and refugee issues. He volunteered for a charity providing free legal aid to asylum seekers.  He is now looking to gain experience in the non-for-profit sector to pursue opportunities in research and policymaking.

Bill is an experienced teacher who now works as an independent consultant specialising in refugee children and young people, international new arrivals and community cohesion. Bill provides training and consultancy to schools and local authorities, and has written many publications and resources. More information via

Angela has experience of teaching in both primary and secondary schools in England and Germany and was a Senior Assistant Director at the Basic Skills Agency. She now delivers training and consultancy in the education sector.
